Cornerstone C.A.R.E.S. (Creating A Ripple Effect Successfully)
Every act that we do has a profound and direct impact on the people and communities around us. For that reason, we created our Cornerstone CARES program. The duck has become our symbol of CARES, as when swimming shows a ripple effect in the waves behind – a perfect analogy of what our program hopes to achieve.
We are very blessed to have a very generous group of people as part of our team. Throughout the year, our staff volunteers at many different events, lending helping hands and assisting in raising funds for numerous charities. These folks, our ‘Quackers,’ as we call them, demonstrate the power of charity each and every day, and we are proud to call them a part of our team.
Our CARES program also formally contributes to a number of charities. One such charity, Moving Forward 2015 is a York Region based group that works with victims of abuse once they are ready to transition from a shelter back into their normal lives. Moving Forward supports these people by providing micro-loans that they use to pay first and last month rent, insurance for their car, or whatever they need to regain their independence and integrity.

Cornerstone recognizes the need to be socially responsible within our community and we are committed to growing Cornerstone Cares, lending a helping hand where one is needed.
